a. Favourable geographical location and transportation conditions

As a province located in the center of Central Highlands region and with a fairly complete infrastructure, Dak Lak is favorable for economic and cultural trade in the region as well as neighboring provinces and Ho Chi Minh City. Roads include National Highway 14 (350km to Ho Chi Minh City, 190km to Pleiku), National Highway 26 (180km to Nha Trang), National Highway 27 (200km to Dalat), National Highway 29 (185 km to Phu Yen). The airline includes Buon Ma Thuot airport with flights to several big cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Vinh.

b. Tourism - Culture

Dak Lak tourism has advantages with many places that can be exploited in the combination of travel and landscape, ecology, environment and cultural traditions of many ethnic groups in the province such as Lak Lake, Dray Nur Waterfall, Buon Don tourist area, Kotam tourist area, eco-tourism area, golf course, Ea Kao lake and so on. Especially, Dak Lak is one of the cradle nurturing the space of gong culture in Central Highlands recognized by UNESSCO as Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage Humanity. Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival is held periodically every two years, attracting tens of thousands of visitors in each period.

The system of facilities for tourism with many standard hotels from 1 to 5 stars located in the city center with modern, spacious and airy room design and the most comfortable services for tourists.

c. Industrial Zones and Clusters

Currently, Dak Lak province has 01 industrial park and 07 industrial clusters in operation; Besides, there are 01 industrial park and 08 industrial clusters which are preparing for investment, ensuring the land use demand of investors.

d. Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries

Dak Lak province has the fourth natural area in the country, of which nearly 5,400 km2 of land for agricultural production. Most of them are fertile basalt soil, very suitable for  development of crops of economic value and high annual yield such as coffee (400,000 tons / year), rubber (300,000 tons / year), and pepper (25,000 tons / year), avocado (20,000 tons / year), durian (30,000 tons / year), mango (over 5.00 tons / year) and so on.

The most prominent is Buon Ma Thuot coffee which has become a world famous brand. In addition to the above products, Dak Lak also has strengths in hybrid maize (670,000 tons / year), honey (4.5 million liters / year), cassava (590,000 tons / year), sugarcane (over 1 million tons / year). ).

The province is focusing on developing hi-tech agriculture to minimize the negative impacts of climate change as well as maximize efficiency in agricultural production through the application of modern technology.

Dak Lak has a vast and diverse system of ponds, lakes, rivers and streams with a total water surface area of ​​over 50,000 hectares, which is favorable for the development of the aquaculture industry.
